Product Update
Production: August 09, 2023
This Product Update provides a summary of changes and enhancements to the existing application that impact all customers. When applicable, it includes changes to functionality that were made to resolve customer-specific issues and that apply to all Tenovos users. Product Updates occur frequently and are separate from Release Notes.
Unless otherwise stated, the availability of each update is as follows:

UI Updates
- An update was made to Tenovos Story Board image banners. Banner images at the top of story boards will now use a 3000x3000 rendition rather than 700x700. Allowed image formats for story board banners are JPEG/JPG, PNG, GIF, and TIFF/TIF. Existing files using PSD, INDD, and other image formats will still work, but when replacing the banner, file formats must conform to new allowed types.
- The filter menu now allows configuration of open/closed and expanded/collapsed. Please contact the Tenovos Customer Success team if you'd like this configured for you.
- A copy-to-clipboard icon replaces Copy Link buttons on Share pages.
- A copy-to-clipboard icon will now appear to the right of textbox metadata attributes that only contain a URL (https://example.com).
- An update was made to the image rendition used on the Content gallery page.
- An update was made to the Content gallery page so that the Select All option is available without having to select an asset first.
- Internal share screens were updated to partially mask user email addresses to support privacy and compliance standards.
- Updates were made for consistency in story board naming.
User Profile Page
The new user Profile page which was introduced as a Beta in the Q2 release is now live for all customers. In User Preferences, the Profile page allows users to see and edit their account information. Users with a local account can also change their password.
Help & Update Information
The new Help documentation which was introduced as a Beta in the Q2 release is now live for all customers.
- Help is accessible in two ways—either from the User menu or via Need Help? links on specific screens. When accessing help from the User menu, users are taken to a full-page experience. When accessing help from the help link on specific pages (bottom left), help will open in a panel on the right. Using either approach to access help will open related help guides and information specific to the page you are on when help content is available.
- New help Guides are being delivered on a regular basis. If there is a topic that you are unable to find help on, please contact the Tenovos Customer Success team and we will prioritize that content.
- In addition to Help Guides, other communications are available entirely from the Tenovos Help and will no longer be maintained as PDFs on the Support Portal. These communications include Product Updates, Release Notes, and other news.
User Impersonation
The new User Impersonation feature which was introduced as a Beta in the Q2 release is now live for all customers.
- Administrative users with the User Management role privilege can impersonate other users. With this tool, administrators can validate the full Tenovos user experience of another user and troubleshoot access to content or other experiences for that user.
- Administrators can impersonate users with administrative privileges that are equal to or less than their own. They cannot impersonate users with higher or more administrative privileges than themselves.
- You can impersonate:
- Both Local and Federated user accounts.
- Users who have the same administrative-type permissions as yourself.
- Users who have fewer administrative-type privileges than yourself, and the ones they have are common to yours.
- You cannot impersonate a user:
- Who has different or more administrative-type role privileges than yourself. This is to ensure that a user cannot impersonate another Admin to elevate their own account privileges.
- Who has never logged into the system. The account may be enabled, but if they have never logged in before, you will receive an error.
- While you are actively impersonating another user.
API
- An update to the REST API endpoint for /user/search/{searchText} was made so that results are paginated to better support customers with many users. Two new optional parameters in the request have been added, "from" and "offset". By default, a max of 100 results will be returned per request.
- An update was made to the REST API endpoint for /asset/scan to allow an optional parameter of "assetType" in the request to target searches against specific types of assets. An additional endpoint will be released soon which exposes all asset types in your system.
Authentication
- An update was made to the Login and Reset Password screens to accept either username or email address for local accounts.
Other Enhancements & Quality Improvements
Availability: All customers. For customers not currently using metadata triggers, please contact Tenovos Customer Success for more information.
- Resolved an issue where users with only the Security Template Management role privilege were unable to access the Admin screens.
- Resolved an issue where users without the Bulk Operations role privilege were unable to download job reports.
- An update was made to metadata trigger rules. They now support multi-select attributes via the use of "in" and "some" operators.
- Resolved an issue where users configured on the Create New Proof screen were not properly carried over to all stages of the proof.
- Resolved an issue where Metadata Export downloads would not properly download for customers with specific security constraints on their company computers.
