Product Update

Production: January 07, 2025​

This Product Update provides a summary of changes and enhancements to the existing application that impact all customers. When applicable, it includes changes to functionality that were made to resolve customer-specific issues and that apply to all Tenovos users.

Unless otherwise stated, the availability of each update is as follows:

Asset Details Page​

Availability: All Enterprise DAM customers

This product update introduces the following enhancements to the Asset Details page.

  • Action buttons have been moved from the right side of the metadata panel to the task bar above it. This update creates more space for viewing metadata.
  • Users can now easily expand or collapse all metadata groups by clicking the 'Expand/Collapse All' button.
  • Users can now easily hide fields with no metadata by using the 'Hide Empty Fields' toggle.

Creative Editor​

Availability: Subscription add-on

Creative Editor now supports exporting image assets as JPEG files. Previously, only the PNG format was available. With this update, you can easily choose JPEG as the output format when renaming your edited file.

Rest API​

Availability: All Enterprise DAM customers

Changes were made to the API endpoints that retrieve security templates, metadata templates and metadata vocabularies to return the responses in alphabetical ascending order. This was done to increase template and vocabulary findability. This is a non-breaking change affecting versions 1.4 and 1.5 of the API.

Enhancements and Quality Improvements​

  • The 'Impersonate User' role privilege has been upgraded from an 'End User' privilege to an 'Administrative' privilege. Users with 'Impersonate User' as their only Administrative role privilege no longer need an additional Administrative role privilege to access the Admin UI.

  • The job type when sharing an asset externally has been changed from 'Share Asset Transformation' to 'External Share'.

  • Resolved an issue where storage counts on the Entitlements page were being displayed inaccurately.

  • Resolved an issue where all story boards would not load after accessing a story board through a direct link or brand tile.

  • Resolved an issue where large collection download jobs were timing out.

  • Resolved an issue where bulk edit cascades often resulted in failed jobs.

  • Resolved an issue where creating a brand tile would incorrectly inherit the thumbnail of the most recently created brand tile.

  • Resolved an issue where renditions were not being generated correctly for some TIF files.

  • Resolved an issue where layers were not being shown on TIF file renditions.

  • Resolved an issue where story blocks using saved searches were showing different assets based on the page where the saved search was created.

  • Resolved an issue where users could not be sorted by the 'Company', 'Phone', 'Contact', and 'Role' properties.

  • Resolved an issue where requests with a large amount of assets would not load all of the assets in the request.

  • Resolved an issue where some audio files would not play in the Google Chrome browser.

  • Resolved an issue where emails were not being sent to a user when a request was assigned to them.

  • Resolved an issue where date fields were not being exported as date data type when exporting metadata to a spreadsheet.

  • Resolved an issue where Video Insights could not analyze videos in languages other than English. Video Insights will now detect and analyze videos with any source language.

  • Resolved an issue where the 'Select More Assets' button within the 'Manage Relationships' page was difficult to see.

  • Resolved an issue where a story board banner could be set to a file type that is not an accepted story board banner file type.

  • Resolved an issue where the number of assets displayed in filters did not match the number of assets returned when filtering by attributes in a smart table.

  • Resolved an issue where the filter menu continuously attempted to refresh values, causing the page to slightly bounce when reaching the end of the search results.
