2023 Q3 Release Notes
Tenovos Announces Fall 2023 Product Updates to Extend DAM Features
New York, October 05, 2023—Tenovos, the company that goes beyond simply managing digital assets, today announced the global availability of its Fall 2023 product update. This update introduces features that help DAM Administrators reduce overhead and empowers creatives, consumers, and integrators with new capabilities.
Release Themes
This quarterly release focused on numerous platform changes to bring about exciting game changing capabilities in Q4 and beyond. While many of these updates are not directly visible via new features in this quarter, they were essential to our continued success and valued partnership with all customers going forward.
In this quarter we largely focused on Content Management, Administration, Usability, and improving the speed and usability of integration capabilities.
In addition to new features, Tenovos focused heavily on stability improvements throughout the entire platform that were deployed during the quarter to improve your overall experience as quickly as possible. This included 179 resolved bugs, 41 feature specific work items, and updates to over 400 packages.
New Features
Items with a indicate that the feature is behind a feature flag and is currently in Beta for limited customers.
-
Search Relevancy
: This feature introduces a fundamental change to the way searches are performed in Tenovos, and the relevancy of the search results returned to users. It removes the AND/OR toggle, eliminates "pills" in the search bar to split multiple terms, eliminates the need to use quotation marks, and much more!
-
Bring Your Own Bucket (BYOB): The BYOB feature allows customers with the need to store their assets in a region other than the default, the ability to leverage S3 Storage from alternate regions.
To better aid our customers in markets other than the United States, we've added support for asset storage in additional AWS Regions, including:
- US East (Ohio) / (Northern Virginia)
- US West (Oregon) / (Northern California)
- Asia Pacific (Singapore) / (Sydney) / (Seoul) / (Mumbai)
- Canada (Central)
- Europe (Ireland) / (London) / (Frankfurt) / (Paris)
-
Metadata Attribute Tooltips
: Administrative users with the Metadata Template Management role privilege are now able to add a descriptive tooltip to any attribute (System attributes excluded). Tooltips can be up to 100 characters long and will appear on any screen where users enter metadata.
-
Duplicate Management
: A new menu option in the Content gallery provides users with the ability to better manage duplicate assets system-wide or based on search results.
In this new view, the first asset ingested into the system is treated as the "original." Clicking this original asset will display all assets in the system with the exact same file (based on an MD5 hash). Users can delete the duplicate assets (permission controlled), see the number of relationships any given asset has, and launch into management of those relationships. A quick link to view the asset details is also provided.
-
API Performance
: We've been considerably focused on API Performance in Q3 and are pleased to announce an overall performance improvement of more than 360%.
These changes impact the current version of the Tenovos REST API and require very little effort to update your integrations. Right now, we are deploying it for our partners and integrators, and will open this change up for all customers very soon. Expect more details in the coming weeks of October!
-
Additional File Type Support: We now support AEP, LNK, INDB, and AIF file formats, allowing you to share and transform more files than ever before. In addition, Tenovos can now generate previews of Adobe InDesign Template files (INDT).
-
User Profile Page: The new User Profile page was introduced early in the quarter. It included the ability for users to update their profile information and password.
Additional Q3 Feature Enhancements to the Tenovos Platform
Q3 brought about many changes to existing features to include updates to the User Interface, Collections, Administration, and new API Endpoints. Please refer to the Tenovos Product Updates for each deployment for more details about these changes.
