Configure metadata Preference View

In User Preferences, the Metadata tab lets you configure the Preference View for both the Upload Assets screen and when editing asset metadata. This feature allows you to toggle the visibility of specific metadata attribute groups for an individual template, giving you control over how metadata is displayed.

NOTE: This preference does not apply to the Bulk Edit screen.

When enabled, you can toggle the View option for each metadata group—ON to display and OFF to hide it. If the Edit toggle is ON, all attributes are visible, and the Preference View setting won’t affect the display.

To adjust the Preference View, go to the Metadata tab in User Preferences, display the metadata template group, and toggle its View or Edit options as needed. Click Save Changes to apply your settings.
